2013 Kevin Durant Shoes
Following this weekend’s All-Star-themed Durant drop, the Nike Kevin Durant Shoes V Texas release is next up, paying tribute to Kevin’s college days in Austin. Sort of.
The Kevin Durant Shoes clean silver Hyperfuse upper is set off by burnt orange accents, channeling its inner-longhorn, with black contrasting finishing the palette off on the outsole and laces.
The KD V Texas release date is scheduled for February 23rd.
Inspired by the space theme that Nike is embracing for the 2013 NBA All-Star Game, as well as by Michael Jordan himself, graphic designer Keoni of the just-launching Kreating the Beast Design Group (KTB) created these visually striking prints, entitled “War of the Worlds,�featuring Kevin Durant Shoes, LeBron James Shoes and Kobe Bryant Shoes sporting their All-Star footwear in an intergalactic setting.
Simply put, the visuals are stunning, with each athlete perfectly rendered in a science fiction setting. The images below are full size (1600×1600) and maximum resolution, so they’re more than suitable for downloading if you want one. Last year, the NBA All-Star Game was in Orlando, and the neighboring Kennedy Space Center inspired Nike’s All-Star-themed footwear, resulting in the incredibly popular and widely revered “Galaxy�shoes.
Well the 2013 All-Star Game is in Houston, so for an encore Nike Basketball was again influenced by space travel; more specifically, NASA’s nearby mission control. The result? The wildly attractive Nike Extraterrestrial shoes, inspired by space exploration, extraterrestrial species, undiscovered planets, new constellations. To put it simply: no limits, no restrictions.
Nike’s copywriters get paid a lot more than I do to deftly craft prose describing each shoe’s intergalactic ideals, so I’ll leave it to them. The All-Star Kobe 8, KD V and LeBron X release on February 15th. Full gallery below the release.
